The Bookmark

The main purpose of my personal identity is to be remembered by anyone who comes across my work, and so I want everyone to "bookmark" me. The bookmark has moved beyond books and the icon has been used all over to represent saving/remembering something important.

To start, I explored the origins of the letterforms of my initials 'AD.' Most interesting were the early Greek forms whose finally started to resemble our modern day latin characters.

When the handwriting is cleaned up the letters begin to take a very geometric look.
